Nicole Cyr brings 16 years of endurance event promotion and coaching experience to Strategic Racing & Training. Additionally, she falls squarely among the cycling obsessed and has been riding two wheels for over 25 years.
She is best known for her work at Tri-Maine – the first company to market a triathlon series in Maine. Since then she has been influential in the successful execution of many premiere events. On race day, she can often be found with a radio in hand, as she has a talent for orchestrating complex race day communications and ensuring athlete safety. But triathlon race promotion is just the tip of Nicole’s iceberg. She also helped launch an obstacle race series, chartered untamed territory to bring the Mountain Epic trail races to Maine, coaches, volunteers for Healthy Kids Happy Kids, and occasionally finds time to race.
Nicole works with endurance athletes of various abilities and focuses on those looking to take their fitness to the next level. She has a systematic approach to creating training plans that mesh well with today’s busy lifestyle. In addition to her degree in Health Science she holds certifications with USA Cycling, USA Triathlon, NENSA and Training Peaks. Nicole’s background and continued athletic training contribute to her success as a coach. Since running track and cross-country at the collegiate level, she has competed in numerous events including XTERRA, mountain biking, cyclocross, cycling road races, open water swims, and multisport events. Some of her greatest accomplishments include completing numerous back-to-back races and open water swimming across the Caribbean Sea.
Nicole enjoys playing in the mountains and surf, traveling, and relaxing with family on the Maine coast. She is passionate to be able to offer the community a way to pursue better health and happiness. Race day is something Nicole always looks forward to and she hopes to see you at the start line.
